Video SEO Kicks Off Our New Series of Video Tips and Tricks

Virtually every day, we're seeing new online video concepts, terms and best practices released - it's a full-time job just keeping up with it all! And since we know you have better things to do than sort through ever-changing information (like running your business, perhaps?), we've developed a new series of Web videos, designed to get you up-to-date quickly on the latest online video trends and tips. Each week one of our VideoBloom experts will offer advice and information in their area of expertise.

First up? Tyler, our Marketing and SEO analyst, whose five video "Tips with Tyler" series explores the fundamentals of Video SEO, as well as the best practices for successfully launching a video SEO campaign.  In the last two weeks, Tyler has covered how to create keyword-rich metadata and how optimize your online video's placement within your Web site.  Click below to view the videos.

Video SEO Module Helps Search Engines "See" Your Online Videos

VideoBloom's technology department has been hard at work all month (okay, they always work hard but this month they went the extra mile), getting ready for release of two new modules: the much anticipated Video SEO module, which betters your online video exposure, and the private setting module, which offers you more control over your online videos.

Our new Video SEO module tackles what traditionally has been considered a time-consuming and labor-intensive task best left to the truly tech-savvy - Media RSS. Because search engines can't search your online video content without help (i.e. a MRSS feed) they have no way of knowing your online video even exists; MRSS feeds remedy this by directly notifying search engines of your Internet video's location and subject matter.  By automatically generating the needed MRSS feed for your VideoBloom online videos, our Video SEO module helps gives you the file you need to help search engines "see" your online video so it can be catalogued and more importantly, ranked.

But what if you don't want to share your Web video with the world? What if you don't want the funny vacation video you sent to your friends watched by strangers on YouTube? No problem. Our new "private video setting," lets you decide who can watch your online video and when. By simply clicking the button marked "private" (located below your VideoBloom video under "Embed Options"), you, as the account administrator, will be the only person able to view it.  Which means if your Internet video ends up posted somewhere public without your permission, people won't actually be able to watch it.
